Just off the dome:
Tears of the Kingdom (direct sequel to possibly the best Zelda ever)
Starfield
Final Fantasy 16
Spiderman 2
Resident Evil 4 remake
Hogwarts
Street Fighter 6
I'm sure there are a lot more but next year alone will s*** on the entire generation with just those games.
And we don't know what other surprises or crazy indie games will be in store.
one of those years where there just won’t be enough time to play everything worth playing, it’s gonna be nuts
A lot of heat indie games coming too
Bomb rush cyberfunk
Little devil inside
Sea of stars
Atomic heart
Silksong
Hopefully news about haunted chocolatier
Armored Core
Elden Ring DLCs
Baldurs Gate 3
Silksong

I think Hogwarts is going to feel very robotic when it comes to the cutscenes/interactions with NPCs. The animations, lip sync, voice acting seem awful in everything they've shown Combat also looks like it can be spammy and I'm not expecting Mass Effect tier choices
I'm expecting a typical 8/10 open world game, a slightly better than HZD. Great for Harry Potter fans but not GOTY material

ff7 is the likely one imo
say this every year and it never is
every year is mostly mid with some good games sprinkled around.
what was the last year it was "a great year for gaming"?

2018 had Red dead 2 and God of war, super smash bros ultimate and spider man.
That was the last great year.
2022 was a weird one because it had two really excellent games and a long drought between them
