Madden has released the same game for a whole console generation. No competition could be too far removed. An arcade version of 2k would probably be more sim than Madden.

It will start out decent to reel us in, but once the money starts rolling in, it will be an even greater dumpster fire.

We still don’t know what the game is going to be. Non-simulation could simply mean there won’t be an NFL schedule with the NFL Lombardi trophy at the end of it with commentary and so forth. We could very well get a my player focused game still with simulation mechanics that incorporates the NFL as a brand. Even at its worse a micro transaction field version of NFL 2K would be 1 million times better than madden .

Do you play Madden? Even if it only started out great and didn’t improve, it’s base efforts would be better than Madden’s next 10 games. People complain about 2k because of micro transactions and grinding, not because of its ability to simulate the league. NBA 2k’s my league is still the golden standard.

God I hope so. I don’t even pick up Madden anymore, even when that itch to play a football game is strong during the season. It’s jus too broken and it sucks that it’s the only option.

But have you played an EA Madden game for a span of 6 months? Both are on different spectrums of trash development but I'd take 2ks trash over EAs trash. Just look at NBA live , look at what NFL 2k5 could do compared to what we see in MADDEN 20 it's literally a 15 year old game that performed better than today

2K5 is still the best football game ever made tho. And if we talking NBA 2K vs. NBA Live, it wins in that category too. I’m not even a 2K fanboy either, but EA’s sports are TRASH.

Yes actually quit after Madden 19. Neither game is good and 2K has been extremely lazy towards it's other sports games that isn't basketball. Have you played WWE2K20? How about the Cartoony basketball playground game that was suppose to get content on the switch? They don't even really care about the soccer or baseball games.

You guys are comparing a company from 15 years ago to current. 2k sports in 2004-2005 was a way different and more ambitious company than it is now. The same can be said about EA.
