Just started writing a new script for a short film. Me and my bro been trying to get back into the swing of things, haven’t really shot anything since before the pandemic.

Logline?

Very excited! Currently making a transition from Live Events to Narrative Films. Done concerts as a director and camera operator, set design etc. same with live events in general...

Currently writing scripts, based around the decadence of human civilization.

Want to finish a script before the year end to film this time next year

I have ideas I've been building upon for years, but making a few movies is my end goal in life.

Even if just for myself.

I have no idea how to get to endgame of writing/directing/producing trying to forge my own path have always been super pragmatic but devoted in my dedication to this. I will sacrifice anything to make.

Directed a bunch of short films from when I was 14-18 decided to go to college but not film unfortunately got rejected from dream film school which was probably for the best. Experienced some life had a s*** ton fun got a good degree from a good school. Planning on working a corporate strategy role in a business capacity just to have proximity to LA and all production companies while honing my writing skills. Haven't directed anything in 5 years was always a mediocre writer but have been honing that craft for 6 years now think i'm finally getting decent. Story and characters has always been my favorite part of film/tv.

Feel like the best way to be a director is to become an elite writer idk if thats best way to tackle but all I can do for now. Hoping my business strategy by working at top 3 agencies or 6 studios while getting better at my craft can collide soon eventually by end of twenties into endgame goals. Will have enough money to put one of my shorts into production got a lit cinematographer on board and insanely talented musician for the score. Have writen some really good shorts that i'm super proud of working up to fleshing out treatments I've had for feature length. Writing some that could be sold easily to industry and saving some for own writing/directing. In interview process with talent agencies and studios no offer yet which is taking a huge toll but hoping it gets better. Need a stable job that gets me closer to my goals can't be working minimum wage in LA while tackling creative side at night just not sustainable. Still have hundred percent belief myself I can become one of the best writer/director/producers of my peers and my belief is unwavering even though pandemic has set me back. Feeling down but new Kanye dropping has me more invigorated than ever.

Also I've been writing solo but long term hoping to find a writing partner someday but need to get even better before I collab. If any yall wanna collab on a script someday let me know

Right now, I have about 5 scripts getting off the ground. The main one, once it hits production effects then I might have a budget for. My goal is to make something meditative, spiritual, heavily based on composition, music but digestible similar to a popular summer flick.

Scripts 2-5 work in order. Working on a trilogy and the 5th project is flexible on the order. So damn excited on the future.

Growing up in Hip-Hop artists ie Jay, Lupe always say that their debut took their whole life to get out. Getting close to finishing my first official script, man I'm grasping that concept.

I'm excited for what we all have, somehow someway, it'd b dope if we can all collab on a project.

Current short just finished writing really want to be a showcase for my composer friend. Deadass one of the most talented musicians I've met in my life he's like ludwig making insane beats but clasically trained for movie scores too. Got my OG cinematographer from high school back to shoot when I produce this just need to save up money for it

No because there's so much to learn. Film is barely 100 years old. within the art, there are tons of languages to learn, staying curious killed and "saved the cat" (book reference lol)

Also yes because of the passion behind it. This might be the only field where I compare myself with others. Wanting to be like my inspirations, comparing my life w/my peers. We all have different paths, being consistent in our own creates our stories and artworks.

Going to be filming a short project this weekend. A mini documentary about a local political figure. Maybe 3-5 interviews and B-Roll. Overall Goal is 4:3 Framing and use of flashbacks based on the interviews.
