Where does this point of view come from tho ? Like what were the duds to you that people praised just bcus it’s frank ? Asking earnestly cus nothing he dropped since 2016 left rotation for me yet

Frank's fanbase are so sentimental and precious towards his output at his current rate he can do no wrong in their eyes.

I enjoyed Blond, but i'm with you that he hasn't impressed me much since then

the man's so lowkey most people forgot about him so there's no pressure

  • May 14, 2022

    bad take

  • pressure? im at least 50/50 i'll die of old age before frank drops another album

  • May 14, 2022

he didn't have a failed rollout, there was a pandemic and his brother died.

truly feel like unless you’re just insanely competitive or maybe feel like your music is “more than music”, once an artist achieves high acclaim & success the pressure is minimal & mostly about self satisfaction & did you get what you wanted off your chest

  • May 14, 2022

The stakes were only high for Frank after CO because he'd been away for so long after dropping such an acclaimed debut people were starting to wonder if it was a fluke....and then he came back with the one-two-punch that was Blonde and Endless and silenced the doubters. Post-Blonde he has nothing left to prove tbh so actually the pressure is very minimal compared to what it was 8 years ago.

Well I think usually if you highly acclaimed then it is because u super competitive and super passionate about your music and put the work in

Look at Someone like Andre 3k never even dropped an album because it's too much pressure even tho every time he spit we all on his d***.

    he doesn’t care imo

especially after losing his brother I can imagine him not being in the mood to make music for a long time

    facts

take all the time he needs if he even wants to drop again, losing a loved one like that is tragic

well I would argue he could of still had things he felt he had to prove as a solo artist, but didn’t like pressure

  • May 14, 2022

He’ll probably drop before his Coachella performance

  • May 14, 2022

He low key doing the Rihanna

  • May 14, 2022

Frank treats music like an occasional hobby not a career bro

the track he did with calvin harris was piff too 🔥but, yeah that moon river cover was lit asf

Frank is literally the only artist that I trust as much as Kendrick to deliver. His album will be just as great as Mr Morale

Nobody really gave a f*** about any of the loosies he’s dropped since Blonde. He’s not that guy like that anymore. His next album will get hype but it won’t be half of what blonde got when it released and what followed. He waited way too long.

But everything he drops is pure gold so what does that even mean is my point

Like how can you see he can do no wrong in their eyes if he never does wrong

    Maybe he’s just that dude

    dumbest point of view ever

if making music is enjoyable for Frank, losing his brother would have nothing to do with wanting to keep creating music

unless Frank’s brother was directly involved in the music-making process, there’s no reason anyone should assume they’re correlated

Frank just doesn’t make much music. don’t use his brother as a scapegoat for that.

Does bad bunny even have it in him to make a blond?

He already has at least 3 projects better than frank oceans best

Also tho, they are in completely different lanes
