Anybody still playing BF1?

such a great game, shame that every other lobby on pc has a cheater in it.

It still gets played on consoles too, still fairly populated.

BF1 > BF4

Bf1 biggest issue was mainly it’s progression but the core gameplay loop is amazing.

This is a hard one for me. Bf4 is larger scaled but BF1 is more down to earth and gritty. 2 sides of the same coin. My favorite BF games

Can you tell me what makes battlefield appealing to you? I know what type of fps it is but I’ve never really play a BF game at all.

I own BF5 from psplus iirc but never played it. Always been playing cod tbh

Battlefield is known for its giant chaotic battles. Lots of action, vehicles and explosions. Somewhat of a realistic edge to it as well. Before, it was sort of a polar opposite to CoD’s arcadey style with small maps

2042 is one of the worst BFs I’ve ever played. The maps are too large and empty, it ditched traditional classes for siege-like operators, the gameplay loop is just not fun at all, and there are some trash design choices all over it. No amount of patches will fix this garbage heap of a game.

BF1 is one of my favorites. It’s immersive as f***, the atmosphere is just insane. It’s more of an infantry based BF which is why I favor it as well. It didn’t get much love because it launched with a bit too little content but it’s one of the best games in the franchise. It’s still somewhat active but not as much as BF4. It’s always been an underrated game

BF4 is the best modern BF we have today. There’s lots of fun to be had and it’s still very much populated. I recommend that game + the DLC if you want a great BF experience

2042 has its moments. 64 Rush mode is way better than the 128 conquest, and 128 breakthrough is better than the conquest. The reason being that these modes actually break up the map better where as conquest usually has everyone too spaced out and 5 min runs over open terrain to get to points of interest.

But ironically the maps make it feel more like world war 1 than 2042 lmao, because there’s no cover you just have teams lined up on ridges like trenches since that’s the only cover.

Sundance and Jake gyllenhal’s grapple make their mobility excessive but I think the ideas aren’t bad.

we already saying BF2042 failed when BF4 went through the exact same thing and only became good 1 - 2 years later after it got patched a lot

BF4 was panned when it dropped and now it’s considered the best modern game in the series

Like I said, no amount of patching will fix this piece of s***. The game design is just overall bad.

BF3/4 were bugfests, but at least they were still fun to play. That’s what separates them from BF2042
