I was on youtube and this AK video came up. I decided to see if AK has finally grown up, but nah he’s still asking dumb as questions like “Why does YB love you?”
I can’t even take the show seriously with the stuipd setup he has Why is he sitting so far from his guest?
Those 4 mins felt like 40 mins, it just dragged and went nowhere.
Rich the Kid doesnt even respect AK. He just walked off his trash show and AK was like “We’ll get him back.”
Can’t believe complex gave him a show. At least that was fun because of Joe Budden and the guest roasting the s*** out of AK.
This is just bad
Akademiks Sucks - Worst Interviewer
why is he sitting so far away from the people he's interviewing lol
They require it when they agree to get interviewed by him
I said this in another thread but I really believe he’s hiding his fat ass behind a desk like the At&T girl in the commercials.
Idk how this obese chipmunk got so far in this industry. maybe he got a tape of TI's goon peeing on Drake and been using it as leverage ever since.

to be fair RTK always been terrible to interview, he's surprisingly well composed for how booted up he usually is lmao
Dude also holds the Guinness world record for being 27 years old for a consecutive 5 years.
even then I prefer this trash over d*** riding from Zane Lowe
But do you know who Zane Lowe’s uncle is?
This is hilarious
Bro set looks like a trial or a eric andre show

Zane creates a cool atmosphere where it lets artists be comfortable and open up more, like 2 friends having a conversation rather than an interview
Idk he's good at what he does

He plays it very safe and is always extremely positive, some great material can come out of it but in general outside of like 6-7 minutes of cool conversations from these artists the other 30 minutes of his interviews are all stuff you’d either know or basic information and feels like a bit of a waste. There’s definitely good ones but in general I don’t find his interviews super engaging even if he’s a decent conversationalist
Dude is a walking lipstick alley user of course he’s a terrible interviewer because he has no sensibilities regarding what to f***ing say to an artist in a professional setting and runs straight for the meaningless spicy s*** instead

Imo he goes deeper than most interviewers, yeah he's positive and s*** but I don't see a problem with that, his job is not to critic the music, his approach also helps artists go deep into the music creation and stuff like that, most interviewers just ask generic questions
Ak doesn’t know how to interview cause he gets so one track focused on exactly what he wants to know about instead of asking things that might be more relevant. He interrupts a lot and constantly presses about touchy subjects which can be extremely entertaining but usually goes south one way or the other. You can tell his people skills are not great and that he’s definitely an Internet persona dropped into a world where his skills don’t apply well

Don’t get me wrong on the spectrum of popular music interviewers he’s near the top but I end up tuning out during his longer interviews where the artist being interviewed doesn’t have like a big personality and can add a lot of flavor to the interview. It can feel a bit one note, but as a question asker and conversationalist he’s pretty good in general but you kinda know what you are gonna get from him going in (which is good and bad). I tend to like when artists interview/talk with one another most because that’s where you get some of the most interesting material and people like Nardwuar dig deep and really being out other sides of the artists that creates interesting situations with the artists that are entertaining on their own
