Would love for this to be the sequel album, but I think it’s a single for the annual Jan Future album. I think he wants to chase a billboard hit cause he hasn’t had a huge one since Mask Off (I think).

It's their first song together in almost 4 years. It's also a Future single. That's why he's the one that's been posting snippets and hyping it up like crazy. He wants a hit. He hasn't had one in years. How hard is that to understand?

Because it features Drake, genius. He can use the diamond emojis, OVOFBG, Halloween Gang for anything that features the two of them now. Those are like their tags for when they work together at this point. I just don't want y'all to end up getting a dope single on Friday, but still end up disappointed after learning that's all it is.

First, get something. I want this to be an album. I really do. I'm a Drake fan. I want new music from him. I just believe it isn't an album and I've stated my reasons several times already.

Future hasn't had a hit since Mask Off in 2017. Between 2018-2019, he dropped 5 projects and countless features and none of them took off. Everybody moved on from them quickly. None of those albums gave him any hits and most of those projects were forgettable. People now spend more time talking about his baby mama woes than his actual music. You're dumb if you don't think he sees that and wants it to change.

While this is happening, he's seeing Meek, Chris Brown, BlocBoy JB, Lil Baby, Bad Bunny all get the Drake stimulus package. He hits Drake up and asks for an assist. Drake obliges. They link up for a single after almost 4 years and they shoot the video for said single.

From the video shoot till now, Future is the one who has been posting the most about this lone song. Nothing else. Just this song and this video. Why is he posting so much about it? Because he's excited. He believes he has one and he wants people to get as hype about it as he is.

Drake on the other hand, has been more casual about the whole thing. Future is the one who got the chains made. He's the one who has posted snippets of the song. He's the one who posted (and deleted) a picture of Drake, 21 Savage, him, MikeWill and a bunch of other people on the set of the video. Drake didn't do any of that. To add to that, the single picture Drake posted about it had their names titled as Future + Drake. That let's me know that there's a huge possiblity that this is Future's single. Some other people have also pointed out Future's tendency to drop albums early in the year.

Drake did an interview less than a month ago talking about how he's taking his time to work on his album and isn't rushing. He never hinted at another collab project with Future being in the works in that interview. No legit industry person has hinted at it either. There's no way them two would have linked up to make a project and some producer or someone in the know wouldn't have spilled something. This whole idea of a WATTBA 2 existing came from nowhere. None of them have actually said a project is coming. We all knew a project was coming before WATTBA dropped. If Future is indeed teasing another collab project, don't you think there's more things he could be doing than continuing to tease only a single and a video?

They didn't get it made. Future got it made.

I posted this in another thread already, but a quick way for us to know if this is a single for a solo Future project will be in how it's titled in the artist category. If it's "Future - Life is Good (feat. Drake)" or even "Future & Drake - Life is Good," it's a joint for a solo Future album. WATTBA was titled as "Drake & Future," they'd continue with that if it was indeed a single off a forthcoming collab project.

Another way to know would be through the copyright. Future is signed to Epic records and if that's the copyright then it's a Future single, but if the copyright is OVO/Epic, Republic/Epic or Universal/Epic then we know it's a joint copyright of both their labels and is most likely that way because it's a single off a forthcoming collab project.

I want all these baseless speculations about WATTBA 2 to end on Friday after this single drops.
