We praise reinvention because of creativity and risk taking but sometimes an artist nails a sound so perfectly that it leaves you wanting more. Other times they show a glimpse of what could've been.

It hurts even more when it's an EP, because it's like they were on the brink of something special but it wasn't fully realized because of time constraints or a lack of commitment to the direction of the project.
I've always felt that way about Lupe's Pharaoh Height 2/30.
