TLDR/Edit: I just think they are more intertwined than we acknowledge. I wanted discussion not hate itt. Sorry if the OP didn’t come across that way it was stream of conscious

We’re in a super nihilistic age and a lot of people are disillusioned with religion. To the extent they just straight up disregard the existence of there being a god or more to reality (like spirituality) given either belief in science or a distaste for religion. “Why would god let there be famine or dead babies etc.” bc God is almost certainly not the biblical God. All religions have pieces of the overall truth in there Imo but the arrogance of humans to think a book written by them and changed over hundreds of years is universal law is sad. There is a universal creator bc the universe could not have started from nothing. Nothing can come from nothing, it is not possibly given the rules and reality/ science as we understand them. Whether that creator is a future human with a super strong desktop, a benevolent deity or an evil demon doesn’t really matter imo.

Science is essentially a religion yet it will never explain more than a fraction of this reality. Laws of science are only laws bc as far as we have observed they act a certain way yet there’s nothing to say one day what goes up doesn’t come down. Science is cool and useful but just as stupid to blindly follow. Empirical evidence is cool but what you see is not always the whole truth. What you see as reality is subjective and an illusion created by your brain as it processes s*** using the 5 senses. For example blue to me could be purple but we would both think we are seeing blue. Tbh there’s nothing to say anyone but yourself is real and even then who can be sure. As far as spirituality, law of attraction is real. Having a connection with the universe or god or whatever you want to call it, is real. No reason to discredit spirits or spirituality bc there’s no way to prove or disprove it either way. Chances are we’re all wrong and everything I just said was stupid

You shouldn't worry about these morbid topics. Just keep it simple and try to live a happy life

I think there’s gotta be something but I don’t believe any human could possibly know even a bit of what happens after death. Only things I believe could be possible is a nihilist or reincarnation scenario, or ANYthing in between.

Reincarnation wouldn’t be so bad imo tbh that’s what I think Deja vu actually stems from

If science is itself a religion, then why can't we believe in science and not be spiritual?

  • Feb 20, 2020

If you wait on science to reaffirm your beliefs, you're a spiritual refugee
