I made this thread because I myself am an American teacher and a lot of these prisoners are teachers themselves, so obviously I feel a type of way about it which is why I made this thread. Solely to spread awareness about these cases because they’re obviously being overshadowed by the Griner case.

What I'm trying to say is that it's not some type of principled stance against Americans being unjustly detained abroad like you said earlier itt, and this goes beyond just you, Biden signed an order against countries unjustly detaining American citizens but it excluded Saudi Arabia and included Russia, despite SA jailing Americans for merely expressing their opinion on abuses, unlike Russia, and I thought free speech was important to Americans
