Are there any american (or even uk) remakes of international films that are better than the original? And don't say for example The Departed for example, if you haven't seen Infernal Affairs.

has anyone watched both The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo fillms? Wouldn't suprised me if the Fincher one is actually better but i haven't seen it

something about the color grading in the us version alone just makes it worse imo

It’s the more stylist version, acting is more inspired in the og I’d say I like them about the same

Can’t think of any at the top of my head. I know a lot of people love Vanilla Sky but Spanish version is better imo

i agree but i do quite like the guy who plays the main intruder guy in the US version not any more than the OG but he does good imo

the delivery in the way he says 'ciao bella' at the end on the boat always stuck with me

I haven’t seen all of these movies and their counterparts so I can’t comment on how they compare

Japanese Ring is way better imo. The whole movie is just so much scarier.

Haven't seen Sorcerer yet but no way it's as good as Clouzot's film

I like The Ring better than Ringu. And McBride's Breathless is just as good as, if not better than Godard's

I have seen Infernal Affairs and The Departed is so much better.
