Frank began his claim as the greatest songwriter of our time with this right here. So beautiful.
One of my favorites and one of the best from nU.
Did that beat way better than the Eagles
The way I used to listen to this song in high school & act like I could relate
11/10 song
Coming from an oldhead (31, not that old I guess) who fully absorbed classic rock before even touching hip hop....what he did with this track is pure genius.
It starts and ends with a clear playing of a cassette, as we later find out is in his car. Evoking the image of Frank literally driving around in his mustang freestlying over one of the GOAT rock songs.
Not to mention the lyrics and how they relate to the instrumental itself. Man this track does so much for me. It's a shame Henley et al don't get it. Pretty obvious racism to me but that's not the point.
I hope Frank makes enough money with Homer to go on tour and play it every show and fight Henley in court for however millions he decides to press against him.
Anyway sweet bump yada yada
