Thinking of getting this game

Seems fun and different, and I liked stardew valley

Doesn’t it get boring tho?

I have 200 hours in stardew and 800 hours in this game if that says anything

You can't play AC as much as Stardew Valley since it's real time, unless you time travel. Also this game is a sim with no challenges at all, it's all about customization & collecting. I like Stardew Valley a lot more but New Horizons is great for what it is tbh

Depends on who you ask, some people don't even really consider it a game. I appreciate it for what it is, play it for a few minutes a day & customize my island, house etc. whenever I'm in the mood. The game is definitely not for everybody & I would agree that the game offers lil in terms of progression or a sense of achievement I guess.

I think it comes in waves as far as progression. I was really hoarding and checking store/NPC/DIY for a while. Just started to really build up some of the Island with different locations now.

Initially you have to grind a little bit and get to the point where you can freely create on your island. After that, it's all about collecting items and creating ideas for different spots

Library? Arcade? Island within island? Tons of items to obtain (online trading helps) and freely build up the island in unique ways.

Another positive is that they will consistently be making updates until 2022 for events, enhancements, etc.

There’s no farming. It’s not a farming simulator. It’s more about decorating your house like The Sims, paying off debts, making relationships with your neighbors/finding new neighbors by going on mystery island trips, and completing tasks like catching every bug, fish, etc. or finding all the golden tools
