    what u got?

Got a 2015 MBP, 2018 MBP, and a Windows Laptop.

I avoid the Windows laptop at all costs, but have to use it for work for technical reasons sometimes.

The 2017 and 2018 models are really bad. The 2017 MBP I had had keyboard issues. Then the 2018 model kept randomly restarting; s*** was annoying as f***. Had a 2015 MBP for almost a year before I upgraded to the 16"

Bought this joint and the XDR monitor about two weeks ago. I do design work and mess around with music so I have Photoshop, Figma, Illustrator, Slack, Xcode, Android Studios, Logic Pro running all day everyday

you bought an XDR monitor to use with a laptop? why dude

  • Jan 23, 2020

im chillen with my base model pro 2016

    2013 but same

S***s great it handles everything I throw at it. It'll f*** up when I'm 70 tracks deep and have multiple instances of softsynths, but that's what bouncing down to stems is for 😂

  • Jan 25, 2020

Still I have a 17" MacBook Pro 2011 that's still going strong after that breaks I ain't getting another one until Apple gets their prices in order which will probably be never so.

My 2016 MBP is doing great other than it having constantly running out of storage.

Yeah I'm gonna take advantage of my lil sis' student discount this summer to get myself a free pair of Beats with it and I'm probably just gonna sell the Beats afterwards. Until then I gotta get by with my 2015 mbp. I've been waiting 5 years for an actual upgrade smh, about time. With the specs I want it's gonna be around 5k CAD though, s*** ain't cheap.

  • i still got my 2017 air, i need to save up for the new mbp tbh, but my s*** still running solid

    how's music making on that?

is it just "getting by" - meaning - that when u load 20+ tracks on there it skips

or it's genuinely good in its productivity?

    It's genuinely good

It s***s out when I have a couple instances of serum, but I usually just bounce out to audio.

When I'm at 50ish tracks with automation + freeclip oversampling it eats up my computer.

    Logic pro x btw

Niggas itt saying buy a windows laptop.

Windows is so bad. They had to add Linux subsystem because it’s so garbage and people wanted more from it. Not to mention the forced updates. BIG KEEP

yeah ppl on this site are ignorant to how trash windows is

they think you're paying more for the apple logo but you're paying more for software that is based on unix/freebsd the most stable and reliable os around

netflix and most streaming servers use it for a reason

windows is a hot pile of trash, I work in it and troubleshoot dumb ass windows issues all the time

  • Feb 7, 2020

i have a 2017 mbp everything is good with it expect the cooling and keyboard

the 2019 really seems to have fixed that issue, ima wait 2 years till i can grab a used 8 core, 1tb and 32gb for under 2k on ebay tho
