6k (insurance doesn’t cover anything)
27 trays
On my 7th tray right now
fire. how are you liking it so far? You paid it in full upfront or did you have monthly payments?
Had them late HS and half of college . Don’t remember the payments but I think it was in the 5K range
Experience wasn’t bad. Big adjustment with the first trays that could be annoying but after a while it becomes second nature when you’re wearing them. Got extensions like twice cus my bite wasn’t totally corrected but they didn’t cost extra. I’d recommended overall.

Thanks for the insight. I was worried about adjusting to life with them on, but you would say that there’s not much to adjust to after the first couple of weeks?

It’s definitely a lifestyle change at first
First week or two are definitely the toughest because your tongue has a hard time adjusting to the trays in your mouth
The random snacking / munching has to stop too
Can’t eat or drink anything that’ll stain the trays
Have to floss and brush after each meal (don’t have to have to but you’re going to want to) so you have to start carrying a small bag around with you (they give you one)
& mine I’m still paying off, paid 2500 upfront, then some monthly payments of 500 im almost done
You should go for it 👍🏼

depends on the schedule you get but my trays were like 1 every 2 weeks my entire first run. The first couple days they kinda hurt cus your teeth have to get used to adjusting by whatever millimeters. If you commit to wearing and sleeping in them then after those initial days you're fine until the next tray, which feels less rough each time cus you're building up the schedule. By the 4th tray things were wayy easier then a few months in its nothing
i'd imagine this is still a better route than braces which you cannot take off or escape.
There's the lifestyle stuff the user above mentioned. I'd say feel it out cus its unlikely you follow every single thing. The biggest thing is just wearing them as much as you can and sleeping with them. Regular brushing too
I have them rn. Almost done 2 years w/ them on. I would highly suggest braces over them. Just my 2 cents.

why

Braces are way more effective. Besides that, invisalign have hella maintenance. No coffee, tea, snacks etc, unless you can eat/drink quick and clean everything out because you gotta have em on 22hrs a day. It was a pain in the ass when i went out to eat/drink. S***s WOAT
Thought about getting them this year, but I think braces are still the way to go. Braces are gonna be way faster and easier to deal with on a day-to-day basis.
If you can shell out the $, ceramic braces seem to be the best of both worlds.
my bottom k9s are slightly f***ed up and was contemplating on getting invisalign since i'm WFH nowadays. Not sure if its even worth correcting at this point. What are other benefits of Invisalign?
Title.
How was it? How much were monthly payments (w/ or without insurance)
Worth it. I'm on my last tray/retainers. Got one month left to wear them then I can just wear them at night

It's the same thing as braces but you don't cut yourself up with the metal and they're pretty much clear
My ex had “smile direct” here in the UK, it was half the price of Invisalign and she had perfect teeth by the end. Only 6 months or so too
I have about 6 trays left, and honestly it's been amazing. My teeth straight af
It was suppose to be 5k, but I have amazing dental benefits where I work and only had to pay 1.5k out of my pockets. Definitely worth it if you can afford it. I will only have them for a total of 10 months once im done so I didn't have the worst teeth to begin with but I always wanted straight ass teeth so got it nonetheless
edit: to comment on the actual experience, it's more of a lifestyle change like someone else mentioned. You won't be snacking as much (or you could if you can be bothered with washing your teeth 10 times a day), and myself I like to go out for food/drinks on weekends so I always had a mini bag with all my stuff (tooth brush, small water bottle, paste, etc.) that I would leave in my car. Painless experience beside the first 1-2 weeks where your teeth will feel a little sore as they're not used to the invisalign

I was going to go with Smile Direct but for some reason my insurance doesn't consider it "orthodontics" (I believe it is because there are no doctors involved) so it was actually cheaper to get Invisalign lmao. I've heard of some bad stories about Smile Direct but honestly my sister got it and her smile looks fine
