I remember this s*** was a big deal at the time, and I think RetcH bodied everyone on the whole 45 minute track. His flow is still so f***ing sick on this

Pusha T had the second best:

Remember first seeing Retch’s funny ass videos online,

Then when I heard his Rap voice I knew I’ll never listen to him.

Also, he robbed a friends friends house here in Jersey smh

RetcH is kinda like Danny imo where he can do different voices on different tracks

Check this out, it’s widely considered probably his best song. His flow and lyrics are great, and that beat really is something special:

    but I agree he’s a terrible person

    We need a RetchyP thread

I love Finesse the World. I honestly can’t think of many projects that are grimier than that tape. I mean I know that was the whole point of it but sheesh, it was like something Mobb Deep would think went too far. The production was wild

some of these lyrics go too far though. like the one “this ain’t no Wale this ain’t no Makonnen, this is junkies dying in the stairwell cuz the dope is potent”

I think he was saying that this album wasn’t gonna be like something Mac would make because it’s so grim and paints a vivid picture of a terrible life in the hood. like dude talks about prison rape in this song. Mac made some dark s*** but it was nothing like this tape. really great intro track that tells you exactly what you’re about to get

and especially since Mac and RetcH’s fanbases overlapped a lot at the time of this track’s release

Yeah, Rap needs more of this.

The Fire in The Both sessions should be bigger than what it is.

DJ Drama needs to Return and take over the Game again also.

I feel like Kenny Beats is kinda trying to do something similar with The Cave series. JPEGMAFIA is the crowing champ of that series imo:

Not gone lie I’m not really in the Kenny Beats wave, but I’m not a Kenny hater so I do need to check this out.

Also never heard an JPEGMAFIA song before.

    also this:

his style is so f***ing unique and refreshing. you never know what you’re gonna get with each song. like in this he starts off with an aggressive flow and then switches to a really chill verse with great writing. he’s just a great artist and deserves the huge popularity he’s building. he’s got songs to fit whatever style you’re into

his ear for samples is crazy. like that quick horn sample at 2:05 in this song sounds incredible

and finally I see a lot of people say this might be his best track:

he’s probably the most creative producer in the game right now. it was just announced he and Danny have a collab album dropping soon
