    Thoughts on this?
Should these companies use catastrophic situations to boost their product sales?

I don't see anything wrong with this, the product ostensibly saved their life so yea

I mean it's advertising ffs. They're going to use whatever method they have available to them. I don't think any more morally/ethically wrong than any other advertisement

yeah I get that but still, I find it a bit eerie, it's like making a car ad and showing how protected it is then showing other car accidents

Don’t really see a problem with this especially if it does actually help someone that otherwise wouldn’t have this option. I wouldn’t buy a watch based on this though

This ad with Apple Watch calling help by itself is actually amazing. Feels like future.

And I don't see how this is bad

They made a great feature and if someone cares about this it's good to advertise something like this

I'd much rather someone chose an Apple Watch over a Galaxy watch because Apple had better emergency features than someone taking an Apple Watch over Galaxy watch because Apple had a gold bracelet

Buy Apple Watch or die alone

    “Tactic”

I think they were bringing awareness that the watch can notify emergency services because most people don’t know about it. Well my mom saw it and didn’t know.

Apple could have conveyed the same message without causing intense fear among such huge number of people.
