I think it’s a stretch to say “a lot of people don’t” like it got mixed reviews or something. TPAB obviously a classic
No. A majority of casual music listeners don’t like it.
It’s not an easy listen.
Most people don’t have the patience to care about the nuances of the lyrics or production.
Therefore it’s very easy to see why there are a lot of people who don’t like it
People hate on TLOP? TPAB has been KTT’s whipping project for years
Real ones know when they leaked king kunta on ktt one weekend, phew
I listen to tpab sooooooooooooooo much more than gkmc and damn lmao
Real one detected. DAMN lowkey underrated on this site though. The best switch and Kendrick going crazy on the beat is better than most musical moments of the 10s imo.
And cold thing is he lied on Drake on some snake type stuff and people backed it up
What do you mean?
i used to say the same thing but TPAB has been on repeat since the protests started
This and Let’s Get Free for me
Who gives a f*** if i like tpab
People on here do since they keep making threads about it.
My older brother who even grew up during the golden age of rap doesn’t like it because he feels like it tries to hard to be different and I’m like... wut.
Well it does suck and it took a national pandemic, free fall of the economy and massive riots around the world for it to be relevant again
DAMN. actually has the most replay value out of any kendrick album to me, which doesn't mean its his best tho
This is an album that you may replay several times throughout your life but that doesn’t mean it has replay album. It’s not like you would have it on rotation.
Ngl I’m not against per say the album being classic or anything
But idk where the classic songs are at
DAMN. on the other hand...

DAMN is f***ing amazing. I like it more now than in 2017.
Every song slaps. Kendrick so hungry.
I think I played this album about 20 times back to back in 2017. Now I’ve gone back to it and it’s like the first time again. A classic for me is an album that never sounds overplayed or gets boring and lasts for years.

What does your brother fw with? Just out of curiosity? Wish I was old enough in the 90s to appreciate the golden years.
So far we got
Sxn80: Alien Voice
GKMC: Skits
TPAB: Critic bait/catering to BLM
DAMN: Ghostwrote/Influenced by Baby Keem
I wonder what's next
