I keep hearing things about this lp
FOr those that don't know
This is that group from 1992.
Now you tell me about an artist who will only deal in Vinyl that impressed you.
Because I guess I'm going to have to buy a new vinyl record player. And some of you will as well with the list of artists that are beyond our reach.
100k baby
100k LFGGGGG
but also, idk any artists who deal only in vinyl still 🤔

There are a lot of them that just won't budge. They must have a secret that we don't know.
please stop derailing op's thread

If 100K gets him a plaque, I co-sign. @S get on that
I did google 100K to see if it was an artist. I matched a label from the 80's and then... I gave up & understood I wasn't going to find 100K vinyl releasing recording artist.
I don’t actually have this on record lol but i think this album counts
!https://youtu.be/Pu7bNgu0kuoGoing to check it out............ somehow

!https://youtu.be/Pu7bNgu0kuothis s*** on his website for free
Interesting thread, hopefully someone post more examples. That track in op is dope.
Why would someone do that tho? seems like it has no benefits at all
this s*** on his website for free
Where? His bandcamp has a 12 minute version of just the samples and says no digital release, exclusive to LP/CD

IIRC this release outside of Japan is relatively recent like last year recent either way
One thing I found out about this world is Vinyl releases they NEVER adhered to the rule of Tuesday.
Which means they just shoveled out everything every day of the week. Bootlegs, Reissues,Radio Broadcasts and Noise Records, Punk Records, House Records, Bootlegs of House records, weird s*** that seems like subliminal programming records, tax shelter fraud artists, etc
And there is no way of putting a number on how many records are released
Do some of these labels have their own record plant? Because I would think the staff would burn out printing vinyl all day. You would think the machines would break down often.

I think because the artists and groups want the splits percentage digital royalties etc higher.
And they won't budge. Especially if they are dealing with torrents and youtube. A lot of band's & artists couldn't tour even before Covid. The air expense travel & hotel accomodations were killing them. (that's what I heard)
WHICH i think if a streaming service did do that and they went hard with promo for their service, it could probably take a chip out of Spotify and Tidal. I say a chip because we love our proverbial burger king & mcdonalds.
But that chip is likely to provide people to make a living in the coming years. So it does give pause if more music streaming services should be started. Like the days of TV Stations and Radio Stations, one after one failed but then they caught traction in certain cities and changed the cultural landscape of Music.
That's what needs to be done with streaming services, imo.
I know one artist who started a streaming service called Waterfall, he only puts select releases on his platform and leaves the rest on Waterfall.

There's a lot of artists in europe who will not bow.
How they make money and release just record's, I have no clue.
BUT something tells me... they are skipping a lot of legal expenses by being on a record label with no barcode.

S*** you’re right. That’s actually really cool they have the mp3s up like that now. i’ll compromise and say it counted for about 36 years of its lifetime
100k baby

Its an interesting take tbh. As an independent artist myself, i couldn't take that kind of business easily but i can see how someone with enough buzz and dedication can pull it off.
Imagine a mainstream tier S artist that only drops vinyls , videos only droppin on his site on an encrypted private videoplayer platform, no youtube or streaming. And making cult classics.People only knowing him from his site and from mouth to mouth. Fans being like "you heard the new S s*** ?, its wild" .
Feels like the future, reminds me of when T swift pulled her s*** out of spotify.
