This is super dope man. I rly like the chill vibe. I’ve been experimenting with this a lot myself recently but do you have any tips for playing melodies over non diatonic chord progressions?

    not sure what non-diatonic is
I've been playing piano for awhile so I have my go to chords.
I'll just mess around with random chords until I find something that sounds good.
you can also look up a piano tutorial for a song that has a chord progression that you like and mess around with the order of the chords + add your own flair.

Non diatonic basically means they go outside the key. Messing around with random chords was how I made progressions for a while but recently I’ve been f***ing around with theory more. Messing with the order of chords in songs you like is a cool strategy tho I’ll try that

yea for going out of key a lot of it is just trial and error
play a cool chord then play another one if it is a bad match just play the same chord and go up one note until they compliment each other.
Also creating a bassline first then challenging yourself to find a chord progression that matches is a good strategy.
