• Baki The Grappler came out and ran from 2001-2002, you don't necessarily have to watch those to follow what's running on Netflix. However if you do it will give you some more insight on some characters and background stories, etc. I'd recommend it.

Bruh I’m watching this rn the writing is sometimes so powerful in BAKI. Example, right in the 1st episode, where he spanks that kid and says “I hit you with all my strength, and I’m 100x stronger than all your bullies”. Then the kid then looks at his bullies like “… that’s it?”. I swear idk how to explain, but this s***s powerful & deep lol.
