so i'm traveling to nyc in a few weeks and my walking/running shoes are pretty much destroyed (going to get a new pair of running shoes from a running store soon)

need something that i can walk in all day around nyc and is comfy. stylish would be nice, but open to anything.

any suggestions?

I’ve worn NB 990s for a few trips to New York and had no complaints after being on my feet all day

Hoka bondis very comfortable but are ugly bricks

Brooks glycerin or ghost are comfy and look a little better. Not as doofy as the hokas

If you’re just walking around the city tho pretty much any well fitting running shoe will do fine. I’ve been up and about for 8-10 hours in flyknit trainers and it was totally fine.

If you’re gonna be doing some running too then I’d def look into brooks or asics

my cozy shoe rotation of vomero / 2002r / 1906r are all great options.

nb hierros are like a cloud with a trail sole with 0 weight. can walk like 20km in them and still feel fresh. style? well thats subjective

They def don’t look super cool, but omg are they comfortable. Wore them on trips I took where I was constantly walking for like 3 weeks this summer, and my feet felt amazing.

I love how Hokas look...have a pair of Clifton 7 and Bondi 8.
Plus you can walk by the shoe cleaning kiosk and not get harassed.

wore xt-4 on my trip to montreal, 15-20k steps per day for a week they were super comfy

tbh the salomon xt6s are pretty elite in comfort and have replaced most of my other sneakers in the "walking all day in the city" category.
