Some of y'all really f*** with this, huh? Movie was so over-the-top and goofy (which is what it was aiming for) but it didn't work for me. Fight sequences looked atrocious. I laughed my ass off at Black Canary beating up those dudes in the alley. The most unbelievable beat down, lol. Reminded me of the old ass Batman TV show. The words "BAM" & "POW" should have flashed across the screen.

It's def a girl power movie...but for the type of girls who watch the CW. So the R rating was a dumb decision. Title def didn't match the movie, lol.

And come think of it...I don't think there's any positive male characters in this movie, lol. So many narrative problems I had with the film that s*** was the least of my problems watching it.

you don't see male led action films specifically belittling women, at most they're relegated to damsel in distress but rarely ever ACTIVELY disrespected, while recent female-led action films and shows go out of their way to make EVERYTHING that happens about sexism and womens rights while making men look bad to make the women look more powerful... like stop lmao

nobody watching male action films for the sake of believing they're better than women, strong well written female characters are always popular among men and women

I'm not even mad it was a girl power movie, but the "anti-male, this not for you" marketing angle push did not do it any favors at all. It was female Deadpool in essence. I heard almost every man was cucked, even background characters, that to me is corny. I'm not going to watch the movie because I "hate women", it just didn't appeal to me. Let me know when a Gotham City Sirens movie comes out though.

I'll see a movie starring a woman if it doesn't try too hard to say, "look! women are as strong men too!" I loved Atomic Blonde and hope more female-lead action films get made, just take the wokeness factor out of it, it's tied to a modern trend that isn't even monetized, just lip service.
