Also, I still don't understand the necessity of music reviewers in the streaming age. You can listen to whatever you want nowadays, without having to decide which cd to buy that week (the only purpose of reviewers). There should be literally zero demand for guys like fantano in today's world

Not even on some argumentative s***, but they don't exist just to suggest/recommend music

Some people enjoy reviews for interesting takes on the music, or to find out what other people love or hate about it, or to help make sense of it, etc

Though it does kinda funtion as a "what's in it for me" for the audience, to say they have no "necessity" is just off base

There’s a lot more bias on music forums IMO. Reviewers are sometimes swayed by popularity and the cool factor, but stans on here for example will try and convince you albums like JIK and more life are classics ffs
