do we have the ability the rewrite our entire being, personality, ego etc...
it got me thinking could we literally rebuild ourselves from the ground up and rewire our nature, or are our paths determined from the experiences and enviroment that formed us from an early age.
it's called evolution
some people say in 2000 years babies will know how to talk from the jump
just like how babies know how to express emotions now, nobody teached them that

People can genuinely change for sure. I have. I started out one way, lost my path and then turned into someone else (All for the better too). You just need to find the motivation to do it. I imagine finding it is different from person to person and for some it may never happen. For instance for me there were specific events which caused me to change.

Who says that? I don’t get that.

Dude you can do it. For me there were deaths and random things that happened which made me change. I can't guide you towards what you seek. But just know it is possible and just continue to believe in yourself and have resolve.

I heard a fed talk about this on youtube
it's not that deep, our brains keeps evolving for the things we need

Nah dude that doesn't make sense, language is used to describe the world, if you've been in a womb for 9 months you'd have no reference point for language, it's 100% something that has to be taught by experience, like a baby isn't gonna instinctively know a table's called a table

I didn't say babies are born with language skills right now, I said in a far future babies could be born with it

so how do you explain a baby crying or smiling? Cause it's printed in the brain?

Language changes too much over the years for it to be a trait that a baby can be born with
I didn't say babies are born with language skills right now, I said in a far future babies could be born with it
I got that, but even in the future I think that'd be impossible, to speak a language requires extensive knowledge of the world in which it's used, to know what 'credit card' means you need to have a familiarity with credit cards that's impossible in the womb
Re: crying and smiling, those are responses to stimuli on a basic sensory level, they serve an evolutionary function, crying existing to alert a parent to their baby's suffering, but language is too complex to be imprinted from birth
genes are never set in stone their purpose and behavior change drastically according to the environment you grow up in and the one your mother is in when she's pregnant with you
now some things are too difficult to change but it doesn't mean your offsprings will have the same issues depending on how you raise them so no nothing is set in stone

nah heavy evolution doesnt happen anymore in humans we're too advanced technologically for it so we dont need to change for survival

Is speaking not an evolutionary fuction lol?
But I get you, can't find the clip I saw but this s*** is interesting
of course you can
it's 70% environment and nurture (as a child cause thats where the brain is most malleable imo)
greatest example is rape victims / heavy abuse children turning to sociopaths later on

Have you ever seen a d*** addict get sober? If not it’s one of the more beautiful things in life to watch someone take back control of their life. Of course people can change

i'm down deep in depression right now addicted to booze, weed, oxy etc... i hope there's better days ahead, but seeing people recover from addiction feeds my motivation to get clean, but addiction is one hell of a beast to slay, but i believe one day i will overcome it.

I still smoke kush daily, like a madman tbh I’m dabbing hash all day every day (but I still try to practice some discipline like no dabs until past noon etc I don’t wake and bake)
But the booze and opiates going to eat you up bro. Take it from someone who was off all the hard stuff, that road gets much worse over time. I got 2 years in September, you can absolutely get to a better place, it took me completely leaving behind any old homies and really combing through my trauma with a fine tooth comb. It was painful as f*** but today I’m able to live a much more manageable life. If you ever need anything hop in the dms bro I know it’s a very tough road
