Will they show the US stealing baby corpses and spraying their own unwitting citizens with radioactive dust for research purposes? Will they show the fallout across the Caribbean?
Will they show tens of thousands of innocent civilians vaporized by a war crime?
Probably gonna be a good flick. Y’all should stop expecting art to be like a thumbs up for what you believe. It exists in its own space, engage with it on its own terms.
Will they show tens of thousands of innocent civilians vaporized by a war crime?
No
Will they show the US stealing baby corpses and spraying their own unwitting citizens with radioactive dust for research purposes? Will they show the fallout across the Caribbean?
No
Will they show slave labor in the Congo mining the uranium?
This a celebration of white men
„Some potential suitors, a group that included Sony, MGM, Paramount, and, despite the falling out, Warner Bros., worried that the film’s subject matter was less than commercial, which made them concerned about the steep price tag.“
I wonder who’s gonna be cast as the lead, because he needs a big name to sell this movie.
Will they show tens of thousands of innocent civilians vaporized by a war crime?
I hope so
A movie about a nuke has gotta have some spectacle
This a celebration of white men
I doubt this is gonna glamorize the creation of nukes
Nolan said "I did a movie with a black lead now time to do a movie with none"
since tenet flopped I doubt we will ever see a black lead in a Nolan film again tbh

This sounds a lot like first man. big screen imax movie of mid 20th century crew breaking new frontier. imax could be front and center for them working on the a bomb and testing it, and finally using it on hiroshima and nagasaki.
first man was basically a character study of armstrong, and im sure this will do the same with oppenheimer to some extent. but the moral/political consequences of using the a bomb could make this a lot more interesting
hyped
