Man, its just such a shame that they couldn't just shelve the line for a couple years. Marvel just had to torch it
Ultimate Spider-Man a classic
great comic! ultimates was amazing too

Never read it but used to read the iron man ones and spidey. Iron mans suit was hard as brix
Miles Morales got rendered to a near useless character after being forced in the same universe as Peter tbh. At least the character is gaining popularity outside of comics but boy he's just "there" now.
Didn't Bendis kinda open up the possibility of rebooting it around when he left Marvel? They prob don't care at this point tho but it was nice to see those different iterations
yeah, i feel like miles hasnt done anything real important in years in the normal Marvel universe. yeah i think bendis did but i doubt theyll touch on it since the 20th anniversary of ultimate spider-man passed without anything happening.
Definitely miss ultimate marvel but man was it edgy af in hindsight
Wasn’t hulk a f***in cannibal
The Ultimate Universe was my introduction to comics. Read about every comic that was published.
Don't really miss since the quality was really uneven but I feel like re-reading some of the early main series (Spider-Man, ultimates, X-Men) for nostalgia.
definitely had its flaws, and got very very bad after bob jemas left but it also birthed some all time great comics runs. bendis and bagley. and ultimates almost invented the way shield and the avengers have been presented especially in the mcu

He was lmao but s*** like that made it cool to me it was supposed to be a more realistic universe
ultimate x-men is the best take on the mutants hands down
turning reed richards into a vilain was so cool in FF too
Bendis and Bagley’s Ultimate Spider-Man is arguably the greatest single run in Spider-Man comics history
The Ultimates is an entertaining fresh take on The Avengers (albeit not without with Mark Millar’s offputting mean-spiritedness)
Then we have Miles Morales. Other than that...eh not much of value is there overall

Came here to make this exact comment on the Bendis/Bagley point. It’s not only the best single Spider-Man run, but also one of the best in comics ever. And don’t even get me started on those covers...just iconic. I even think USM has a better clone saga and was a crazy end to an era. All around just fire front to back

Yes
S*** was awful last time I checked lol
It was 50/50 Spiderman and X Men weren't bad but Ultimates was awful.
In the end Marvel showed no respect to it and really didn't do right by it
Every issue of Immortal Hulk I see something amazing and horrific that I would want as a poster

I've been using this guide to get into comics for good for the past few weeks
I've read Inhumans, a lot of Deadpool and Black Panther so far
I'm having a great time
Definitely miss ultimate marvel but man was it edgy af in hindsight

remember Ultimatum. edgy Af

I have 1 - 107 in an attic at my mom’s house I hope they’re okay

I will say a lot of writers tried to take s*** in an interesting direction post ultimatum. We got spidey running around with torch and iceman, reed richards becoming an incredible villain, a whole bunch of crazy mutant lol
Still a brazy decision for an entire universe though
