Edit: long post a head lol

I haven't dived into his lecture because I'm not a subscriber to his website (I watched some of it on yt but it's a Snippet from several hours of work)
What I've seen from him, he cites his sources and/or doesn't plagiarize
If he talks about a theory called X in book Y hell say this X theory (a quick Google search will lead you to articles/books Y)

    • He does his lectures like a professor would: he's not recording himself reading these books, he crafted lectures using multiple sources to vulgarize those theories he finds important... vulgarize the information that most don't feel like going through

    • A economy professor will explain Adam Smith's invisible hand theory (a widely know theory amongst economists) and still require students not to film/audiotape the lecture (this happens in universities idk about the US though) the lectures and commentary are his property, the knowledge they choose was their decision, the exercices they take from other books are still their work (they have to cite sources though)

    • I think Pharoah is on that type of time (from the little I know from his lecture)
He has said several times that he's here to make that information more accessible and he believes he deserves credit for breaking that on youtube when it wasn't cool (in his opinion)

    • Him being upset at this rapper isn't what I think he should be focusing on but I believe he has a right to be in his feelings about this

    • Just give an example of a video/ he plagiarized of off somebody else and I'll humbly take that L though...

what are some of those books you would recommend that you've read?

I was heavily into all of the Pro-Black/Hotep s*** for a handful of years. Like going to NOI and New Black Panther Party events, rallies, Million Man March in 2015, etc. Was going to community events when people in the conscious community were speaking and lecturing there. All of that. Saying this to say that I was deep into their info, but a lot of what they talk about I don’t subscribe to anymore.

I’m not vouching for all of the information in them but three books I generally give people are The Master Key System, The Mysticism of Masonry, and God-Man: The Word Made Flesh. It really just depends on what your interests are because there are a lot of books. There are pdfs of each of these online.

A lot of the “raise your frequency to improve your life,” “you manifest your reality with your thoughts” type teachings that people are pushing now can be found in Hermeticism and New Thought Movement books. A lot of the popular New Thought Movement books came out in the 1920s and onward. You can just search “New Thought pdfs” or “Hermeticism pdfs” and a lot will pop up. Many people suggest The Kyablion.

You can check out some works by Walter Russell, Hilton Hotema, and Rudolf Steiner. They have some stuff I enjoyed.

If you want some esoteric info from the black perspective, two lecturers I enjoyed were Bro C Freeman El and Dr. Alim El Bey. They have a ton of videos on YouTube.

I don’t really look at any of these people as having any type of absolute truths. I just enjoy reading. I take what is useful to me and discard a lot of the info. Sorry that its a long post lol.

hm. I appreciate the recommendations but if I can ask, what exactly caused this disillusionment with all these ideas? I looked into the book you wrote & it seemed really interesting. wondering if you still stand by that book.

Bro it’s not about taking a L. If you want, I’ll take the L.

There were many lecturers on YouTube pushing all of this exact same info before Young Pharaoh began making videos. To some degree, they have all been reading the same books, watching the same lectures, and circulating the same info. They also watch each other’s content and take info from each other. Lecturers like Bobby Hemmitt, Dr. Delbert Blair, Dr. Alim El Bey, Bro C Freeman El, Dr. Phil Valentine, Brotha Panic, etc. have been pushing info for decades.

There are also many younger ones like Blue and Red Pill, Brotha Polight, etc. who have been doing the same and who Young Pharaoh has even been involved with directly. Especially when he was first starting out. A lot of the videos are on the blackmagik363 YouTube channel alone. Young Pharaoh may have done some videos for them on that channel as well.

There isn’t a single thing that NLE Choppa or whatever has said that has only come directly from Young Pharaoh. Whether I believe the info or not is one thing. But everything NLE has posted about I have already heard. And I didn’t hear it from Young Pharaoh.

So for him to feel as if he directly needs to be acknowledged for someone pushing info that didn’t originate with him is nonsense. If he wants to act like none of this info was out in other videos prior to him making videos and that he deserves the credit and not others who where pushing the same info then fine.

Okay I thought Pharoah was calling him out for straight plagiarizing, like word for word, bar for bar...

    • same theories can be shared amongst a group but the way the comment on them, how they select their arguments can be different....
If it's the latter, Pharoah doesn't have reason to go at this rapper, he should prove it first...

    • Pharoah claims that choppa is in his dms asking for knowledge... If that's true we can't just write him off ; from his perspective this is sus as hell and I see where he's coming from

    • I'm taking into account all the other content creators in the same field as him at which he never went at for stealing his s*** despite them talking about similar topics...

    • I'm also taking into account all the rappers/entertainers who've had their "woke" bars at which he never went at for stealing his s***...

    • if he had a history of beefing with people for stealing his s*** I would have taken his accusations with a grain of salt.
