so i've been doing all i can to get my songs out in the public while also making sure that i own 100% of my own s***, and while on the BMI website (an organization for music royalties), I came across this article on how to start your own self-publishing company. Owning your own publishing is a huge f***ing deal and something that is constantly reminded to younger and newer artists by those with some years of experience. This article's got some pretty helpful tips on where to begin and basically walks you through the whole process from paying others you work w to copyrighting your song w the US Copyright Office.
