The way he spit became more mumbly and/or whisper-y, especially with PPDS I think he started rapping from the top of his head/throat more rather than bottom (his singing was always like a whisper tho). Also they started adding lots of effects to his voice

AKNC style is also complimented by the production being much more like boom-bap where everything seems less blended together than nowadays
