I never said I knew how people were spending their money with 100% certainty . I said rather than complain in cycles do volunteer work , do the research , donate , listen to trans voices , listen to those you disagree with seek to understand. Donating to Black Lives Matter often didn’t help black lives but you would have to research to know that. In short it’s about more than throwing money or tweets at a problem it’s about seeing the whole picture

What Dave does with DaBaby is similar on a surface level, but the only other comedian I’ve seen call out online complaining culture as much as Dave has the last 4 specials has been Burr. It’s just low-hanging fruit at this point. Complaining about what people say online in damn near 2022 is the new “what about airplane food?” imo

I can’t think of any other respected major comedians who have talked about “cancel culture” as much as those two have the last 5 years. I’m talking about more than just their similar styles.
