What makes a Tarantino movie a Tarantino movie? How do you recognize Scorsese picture? Whats something you always see in a Terrence Malick flick?...etc etc
I love talking about certain filmmakers styles and trademarks, especially the ones that aren't so obvious. So lets discuss about it :)
Wes Anderson: Symmetry and colors
Quentin Tarantino: stylized hyper violence, playful dialogue and feet
Michael Mann: Realistic gun sounds
Neil Blomkamp: Sci fi s***/ robotics /
cameo from a SouthAfrican actor
Judd Apatow: "comedy"
Michael Bay: classics
Bong Joon Ho: subtitles
Seth Rogen: James Franco

tell me what is underrated about him
The amount of work he puts into his set pieces, his use of mixing practical stunts and with digital effects overall he's not great all around but I think people understate his work on blockbusters

Only my opinion obviously but he was behind some of the best blockbusters of all time (Armageddon, Transformers OG, The Rock). Also directed Pain & Gain which I thought was a great film.
Don't get me wrong, he directed some garbage but he's been meme-d to death about explosions and s*** so the films don't get appreciated as much as they should be is all
