Soul just came out
one good movie out of so many snooze fest ones in the past couple years
This s*** animation reminds me of illumination movies
F***ing ugly. Nope
Not animation, but art style. They can't go break Disney character style branding lol
Edit: Actually no? This looks the same as the style they've been doing for the past 6 years post Inside Out
Disney has been literally dogging Pixar for 3 straight films now
https://twitter.com/variety/status/1479560495367475204You think they shelved them to a Disney+ department permanently?

I think they’ll let Lightyear hit theaters but idk about after
Like not even on there as Premiere Access?
Like come on, they disrespecting Pixar big time
I thought Onward was just ok, Soul was better but still boring, Luca just ok, and this one seems to be the worst of them. Last one I enjoyed was TS4.
Lightyear could be good. At least it does look good.
More and more people canceling them Disney+ subscriptions cause they aren't using it.

Damn I loved Onward, Soul, and Luca

Myself included. Had it for months and barely watched anything so I canceled before the new year
I'm enjoying most Disney movies lately, and the MCU shows + Mando, I don't think D+ sucks at all.
I have Netflix right now and I barely use it, I'm just waiting for Ozark and Stranger Things, so I would rather have D+.

Onward and Luca aren't bad, I just don't like them that much. Just like Encanto lately.
Soul, I liked 22 lol but I always get bored watching it.
Raya has been my favorite from the last couple of years. TS4 also.
What’s interesting too, is there’s such grounded emotional territory underneath all of this. Was that always part of the design, where it was looking going to be these heightened visuals but feel very real? I would argue maybe the first truly h**** Pixar movie. At least the horniest Pixar movie yet right?
Lindsey Collins: We back that up, yeah.
Domee Shi: I mean, from the very beginning we were going to be exploring magical puberty and all of what that means. And I know for me, like I felt like I wasn’t seeing a lot in media at the time, the experiences and emotions that I went through when I was that age. I’m really proud of the h**** drawing spiral scene in the movie where Mei goes to her bed and goes crazy. I definitely had many of those moments in my life and many secret sketchbooks that I will burn if I ever find them again. I don’t know where I hid them in my parents’ house. And I just thought with this movie we could shed a light on this side of teen girls that you don’t really see that we are, or I was just as awkward and sweaty and lusty and excited as any of boy. And that’s something to celebrate and laugh at and cringe at.

There’s even a moment when Mei, as the raccoon, does this Tex Avery “a-oooga” at a cute boy who works at the convenience. You’ve never really seen that from a female character that I can think of. It’s pretty groundbreaking.
