I’ve been thinking about the quote “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” So, that got me thinking intentions don’t truly matter only the outcome of actions

Are your actions more important than why you did what you did?

    Intentions DEFINITELY matter.

  • More than the outcome a lot of the time

Its mostly situational. But more often than not intention is relevant but it depends on severity of the outcome.

Ultimately, no. Be wary of that quote though, it's usually used by weirdos fear mongering about changes that might inconvenience them.

    Intentions do matter

  • Only in theory

What really matters is the end result

yeah action is all that matters. in life people don't care what you thought would happen or what you wanted to happen, if you do something bad you have to face the repercussions.

The intent for the origins of selling d**** like crack was to make money to make a way for others and themselves. The reality is it destroyed entire families and communities.

    it’s all contextual

It matters just not as much as actions

  • May 11, 2021

Ideally your intention should match the end result

If you’re finding that not to be the case more often than not then you should probably start reevaluating your decision making

  • May 11, 2021

end results always matter much more than intentions for me
