I’ll be honest, it’s cool they’re fighting against the record labels to get what’s theirs, but it doesn’t affect me.

I got other problems to be worrying about than a famous artist with a f***ed up contract they signed.

It’s evil what these record labels do and it’s cool that people want to expose them.

In the end, it’s their fight. Bigger problems in the world than me worrying about their contract.

I wish them the best and i think its f***ed that these labels are getting these young kids (usually black kids) into signing these bad deals. But im not losing sleep over it

    lmfao shut the f*** up

  • Sep 17, 2020

You 300% right op. Worry about your own situation before someone else’s, or else you a sucka.

  • Sep 17, 2020

I only care about the smaller and younger artist/producer getting screwed over not some established act who is a multi millionaire

  • Sep 17, 2020

    nope

    • no need to go public about it, no one cares + no one really knows what they're talking about.
  • Sep 17, 2020

OP you got a bad attitude.

Like someone just said, no one’s asking you to worry about it.

The way I see it, celebrities are more famous than the execs but not more rich or more powerful; and it is that way by design.

A fight for the artists is a fight for the people.

I care because a lot of artists make great stuff in their prime, and often don't get to benefit from that the way they should.

And I care in Kanye's case because it explains alot. No wonder he's putting out mid albums now. He's probably over music, but has to make, what? 40 more albums to complete his current contract?

i care because dismantling slave contracts and the power of record labels should led to a more democratic way of musicians blowing up and better music being made

  • Sep 17, 2020

  • obv i want artists to get good contracts but when they sign it and resign it without reading then b**** <<<<

Well it's not like anybody is asking you to be worried about their contracts is it.

Clearly they want us to do something for them, since they’re always speaking up about it.

Isn’t there meant to be a protest outside one of the labels for Kanye’s contract?

People going outside when there’s Covid to protest for a rich artist?

That’s what I’m getting at tbh. It sucks, but I think worrying or fighting for someone else’s financial position when they’re rich and doing better than me, I don’t think I’m going to wake up and go to war for them.

Bigger things to worry about than famous artist and their contracts.

It’s cool what they’re doing and I Hope the best for them. It’s their fight not mine.

  • Sep 17, 2020

I mean as long as they’re not a total piece of s***, I’m always for more black wealth!
