It seems like we’re at a point where any look is valid as long as it looks intentional and loosely followers the rule of thirds, whereas back in the early 10s there seemed to be more of a uniform/basic template when it came to men’s fashion
Wearing baggy jorts with cowboy boots and a tight soccer jersey would’ve been unthinkable at one point. Do you think that vibe is here to stay, or will people look back and see it as a weird transition period
Respectfully - "any look is valid" has always been true, and will only continue to accelerate in the age of mechanical reproduction.

The only thing that's loosened are the qualifications needed to be dubbed a tastemaker, for better or worse.
Everyone is deserving of love, except if you try to pull off the ironic dad hat / stained vintage tee / baggy jorts / sambas combo

Real
No, I don't think it'll ever tighten up. It'll most likely get looser with anything, alot of these fits that would've been clowned on yrs ago, is for social media, just as much as it is for the streets. Crazy dressing becoming acceptable is due in large part to inspo pages and wanting attention on IG.
I think people should be able to dress and express themselves anyway, but wild dressing is definitely a business at this point.
I feel like this has actually happened in a way in certain menswear brands/trends/communities after I would say a very prominent gaudy streetwear trend for a few years in the 10s. so while the silhouettes have in many cases gotten wider, you do also have a return to more classic styles of trousers, shirts etc albeit with a more contemporary touch.
I guess the issue here is that fashion is so widespread a topic of interest now that you don't really have a singular dominant trend anymore. that said, I still don't think the dimes square jorts and dogshit fit ppl you are referring to are even that prominent in the wider fashion world.
