I’ve gotten into Muay Thai and I can’t throw high kicks at all above chest level. So I’ve been thinking of yoga since I want more flexibility in my legs.

Get that mobility up bb.
All martial artists should do yoga
Yes I basically do it every day but I only take class once a week.
At my peak of flexibility I could easily do the splits front and side and kick well above my head.

How long did it take for you to notice any improvements in flexibility?
You don't need yoga for flexibility, but yoga has fun benefits beyond just the physical aspect so if you have the time to commit go for it. It's a lot more fun to do it in a group.

I was born this was actually so sorry lol
Im actually flexible like i am due to having hypermobility
It's a blessing and a curse
But anyway when I lived in China for a year studying martial arts at a school for foreigners I studied with dozens of other people and most of them saw flexibility gains within 2-4 weeks. The progress is slow, almost slower than with strength gains. The trick is to stick to it and push yourself but not so much you have a "stretching DOMS" type pain the next day (if you're familiar with the pain after going to the gym for the first time in weeks).

Hypermobility fam
i've been going twice a week since like late may. it's amazing but super hard. i don't really notice the benefits until i'm in the class trying a new pose. builds strength and improves flexibility so i'd give it a shot

Yes, not consistently but yes.
i wouldnt call it traditional yoga , but mornings and nights ill stretch my body. At the end of the day everybody has different tension points ; so you have to stretch out muscles specifically to what's bothering you.
just doing squats , high knees, mountain climbers , touching my toes. and laying down on ground bending and moving my legs to areas i never quite reached on a normal day to day has greatly improved my flexibility.

Yoga is great for that but you don't necessarily need to do yoga, just stretch out more and more often. Gotta stretch after class but I know guys who never stretch and just throw kicks a lot to a point where they developed the ability to kick high. The best kickers I seen was a Tae Kwon do guy who would stretch like like 30 min after class doing a lot of s***.
