If an artist uses social media and repeatedly makes a fool out of themselves, you know like The Game, Meek Mill, Freddie Gibbs always do, does this affect how you look at their music?
If you can still make great music while being a massive cornball I have to respect you more
i tend to like an artist less if their social media profile is clearly run by managers lol
Yeah because I used to think Jay Electronica must be a genius based off his music but it turns out he's an idiot. Meek is just dumb as rocks and Nicki went from legend to weird pedo apologist It can help someone to in some cases it just depends on how serious someone takes themselves and the less ego the better
Social media is Terrible for people that have a certain perception to uphold.
And then get exposed.
It's better to just be yourself from the get go like Kanye tbh.
In general no.
Gibbs probably the only exception cus his social media antics contradict his persona
If anything, the Meek fries pic made me even more of a fan.
totally.
i remember some asked frank in an interview how he stays so "mysterious" or whatever
and he was like (paraphrasing) "i just don't think most of my thoughts are worth sharing"
too many artists don't realize most of their thoughts are not worth sharing lmao
RXK Nephews Twitter posts read as lyrics and his IG story gives me an in depth look into his creative process
Grade A social media presence, just another pro to being a RXK Stan
