One of my friends in high school killed themselves 7years ago this month. I really miss him. His name was James.

Haven't lost anyone close to it. Nearly did it myself in 2015. Things can get better usually but I understand what it's like to feel complete hopelessness.

I tried to kill myself a couple times (pills and cutting my wrists) years ago and I also knew people who did it. Im sorry for your loss OP.

every time i'm having a great day, i just think, man i'm so glad i didn't end it. what a travesty it would be for this day to have not taken place.

A classmate hung himself in 6th grade. My friends and I heard the rumor, but we thought it was a joke. We spent the whole day laughing about it until the principal made the announcement over the loudspeaker. It didn’t even look like him at the funeral.

They planted a tree in front of the school in his memory. I don’t know if it’s still there.

Honestly around this time last year I was pretty suicidal. My life was trash I had really hit rock bottom. But I’m glad I stuck around. Feels weird this year because comparing to last year I was so much worse off mentally than I am now.

I don’t really get what you’re trying to say. You’ve created a very different narrative to critique. People lose parents, siblings and children to suicide. You’re telling me their grief is unwarranted because it’s self righteous?

My brother is dead certain one of our neighbours offed himself by jumping in front of a bus, because he thinks grown men can't get hit by buses.

suicidal ideation, but nothing too extreme

same. i have never been physically in the process. i haven't bought a gun tho because i am a bit paranoid about that.
