Anybody here fast at all? IF or extended. I'm about to do a 3 week fast at the beginning of 2020- leading into 20;4 IF fasting.
Fast for 1 month back in April 2018. Haven't done more than a 4 day fast since though.
What's the point of this? Just to say you did it or health reasons?
If you're trying to lose weight you could IF 16:8 or 18:6 for 1-3 months while avoiding sugar and grains.

Health. ''Just to say you did it'' I very rarely let people know I fast, there is definitely still a social stigma related with it
Are you sure that’s healthy fam?
I’d suggest one meal a day, no more than 1700 calories, low carb, no processed foods/sugars. And a couple of days a week do some physical activity
Weight will melt off like butter
Man I eat like 1 meal a day, I walk 20k steps a day, only have soda if at a restaurant and go on walks with my dog/kid yet I been gaining weight the last year.

People don’t understand our bodies are better suited to one big meal a day vs three meals per pay

That’s crazy. What type of foods do you usually eat

Our bodies are naturally use to periods of fasting, yes. Extended fasting is very similar. Nothing wrong with 1 meal a day, 3 meals a day is just too f***ing much and ridiculous. I don't know where it started from but I do know the reason its still toted as necessary is due to fast food/food marketing.
Three meals a day are crazy for people who are inactive and go to school & work all day.
It makes sense if your a college or pro athlete working out multiple times a day though
That's what im saying. They don't want you to believe only eating 1 meal a day- which you could easily have at your house is healthy.
Also this does not apply to children btw, Children need more than 1 meal a day.

Yes if you are an athlete. I work and go to the gym 5-6 days a week and 1 meal a day is not only doable but beneficial.
My girl loves fruit smoothies but she's healthy af so its not a big deal. I want to get her into fasting but she already skinny so. Never understood people who just eat subway and drink v8 and think they're healthy
Been fasting for so long that it just stuck. Eat one meal a day around 5 and drink a protein shake usually with a banana and oats in it in the evening. Never had to worry about being overweight. Run and go to the gym 4 to 5 times a week. I love it
I also drink around a gallon of water a day even on the days I don't exercise. If you do s*** long enough it'll become a habit
I don’t eat anything at all for 2-3 days in the week cause I’m a broke ass lazy student
Pretty sure it ain’t healthy tho cause I got no energy and insomnia lmao
I fasted all last year
21-7 to start then did 20-4
Felt way better about myself but can’t do it anymore because of work
Did IF 20:4 for the first couple of months ago then slowly transitioned into OMAD. Gym 2-4 times a week
Recently done extended fasts of 3days/80~hours because I had a reckless weekends and inflated weight.
300 down to 211.4 (currently) in 6.5 months.
Imagine if I did this with the “normal” methods it would take me years to get to my current weight.
