After revisiting the Reflection Eternal debut recently I looked through Talib's rym and saw his very first credits are 4 features on a weird album by "Mood" called "Doom" with some rather ugly cover art, and also saw it was largely produced by Hi-Tek.
Despite the cover art though, the intro track immediately hooked me and I've found myself listening to it a lot recently, really love the dark, psychedelic sound. Very different from Reflection Eternal for sure. Dark Jazz Rap
intro track is hard
That one's actually prod by Jahson from the Mood crew also really great producer tbh, def did some highlights on here. Blends seamlessly with Hi-Tek too
I just counted and actually it's exactly 50/50 Hi-Tek and Jahson production
I was so high when I first saw the thread title that I thought MF Doom put out a new album.

that's dope, never heard him before will check him out too!

unfortunately looks to me like his career never really took off like Hi-Tek's did tbh. He produced half of Killah Priest's Black August album (Sunz of Man also feature on Doom) and also had this one placement on a Kool Keith album (p tight track), but otherwise his resume is pretty thin at least in terms of high-profile placements.
Black August tracks are all p fire too tbh
