was waiting for this thread to be made. he's really talented and the album is very well crafted, been hooked ever since randomly finding it a week ago.

Thanks, I wasn't really sure who to @.
The KTT2 search function is hit or miss, so if I'm in a rush I just type what I'm looking for + KTT2 and usually find it. In this case, the only thing that popped up for Genesis Owusu was that @1017TomNook has him in his top artists.

yeah I saw this artist on another music site but didn't see anything on ktt about it too
Genesis has built up all his momentum during the pandemic so there's not a lot of live footage, but I think this album will slap when concerts start up again. This performance of Don't Need You with Kirin J Callinan on guitar is NICE
The f***ing vibe in this room
Whip Cracker live would be

yes I was going to make thread about it but I wasn’t too sure
I heard it cause I heard this cover on radio
This s*** is f***ing good such interesting blend of genres and sounds with politically charged topics
This is someone look out for in next couple years. I also was familiar with him cause he is Australian pretty sure he lives in Canberra

He's got a pretty serious pen game, yeah. Some really funny and relatable relationship tracks but then that trio of I Don't See Colour/Black Dogs/Whip Cracker takes the album to a biting and satirical place.
From all the albums that came out this year this definitely has the best first listening experience
Funny how the 2 best albums of the year so far are from non-American artists
You’re right and Weather Station has the best album and that’s probably not going to change.
