The hair thing makes sense. Nobody wants hair in their food. Why bother with hairnets when you can eliminate the risk more effectively by asking employees to cut their hair

What do you think works better? Short hair in a hairnet or long hair in a hairnet?

I cut my dreads off because I knew white people in a law firm would not want to hire me. At my high school, our hair couldn't be too long and we couldn't even cut fades. At least not wanting employees working with food to have long hair makes logical sense

The way I worded that post may have been confusing. I meant why bother with just hairnets. I feel like hairnets and long hair is less effective at keeping hair out of food than hairnets and short hair

Honestly, this makes more sense than corporate jobs not fw long hair because of "looking tidy and presentable". This is someone working with food. It's s***ty but you guys are in here acting like it's unfathomable

So what about women with long hair? They gotta cut their hair as well? Or not hire any women?

You got an interview for a fast food restaurant, therefore you got the job.
