Just find a beginner routine on bodybuilding.com or something.
And don’t worry about looking lost or out of place, I’ve been going to the gym consistently for years and still walk around aimlessly sometimes lol. No one is watching you or cares what you’re doing

just sprinkle in some other u see ppl doing at the gym

look at what other ppl are doing at the gym and dont feel afraid to ask
make new gym friends
just watch some youtube stuff and go, trust me literally NO ONE is worried about you their. they're prolly feeling the same way you are.

Also isn't there any trainer at your gym that can help you with your routine?
Keep with the same routine as you were doing with your friend was doing that’s what I did at first after my friends got me started
Maybe go during quieter hours at first also to ease your anxiety
Then just keep going and make it a habit
