Ok, so i’ve tried cleaning the needle, I used an anti static brush several times, I’ve unplugged my turntable, disconnected the audio cables, and it’s still there. The humming is only noticeable when one side of the record is over, so it’s not a huge deal, just hoping it’s not affecting overall sound quality. However, the crackles are very annoying on the quiet parts. Anyone know how to fix this? I’m fairly new to record collecting so i’m not sure if this is just a bad press or if I’m doing something wrong.
do u have like a crosley lol
also i forgot what the part is called but the band that spins the record could be faulty
also it kinda sounds like ur not used to the audio quality. could just require better speakers for a cleaner sound
but still it kinda sounds like îlots not used to the warm sound of wax

lol technically i have a crosley but it’s not a suitcase player. it’s a c6 and it uses an audiotechnica cartridge thankfully. it’s sounded pretty great for every other record i’ve played.

My gf bought me a Crosley for Christmas and I had to return it after one use. Absolutely disgraceful they’re even allowed to sell that POS

by “it” do you mean the needle is getting used to the record or i’m getting used to the sound of a more crackly record?

my first record player was a crosley cruiser and it was horrendous. c6 has been great for me tho. good budget player because I don’t have the money to invest in a better turntable or speakers.

Could just be a bad pressing or it needs a good clean. Get one of these: spinclean.com/store/Spin-Clean%C2%AE-Record-Washer-MKII-Complete-Kit-p14190723

on second thought… it seems like it may be happening on other records. could it be a stylus problem?
Imagine still listening to records in 2021
Phonograph cylinders only all 2k21
Is your ground connected properly?
no. there’s a spot for it to be connected but it didn’t come with anything to connect it. it just starting acting like this recently
