How I get my team to be taken seriously and find more performing opportunities?
We did a set at a small house show and the reaction was exactly what I excepted. Despite that super positive experience, it鈥檚 proving hard to find more chances to put these dudes in front of a crowd.

Depends on the vices tbh, but make healthy things a habit. Set small goals, like do something positive every day for 7 days and soon enough it becomes second nature. Also don鈥檛 hesitate to knock a nigga out if he play with you

    What city you in?

Just in general tho, pop up at local shows around your area. Network with the artists and promoters. Make friends, follow for follow, comment on their s*** so they'll feel more inclined to do the same.

Pop up at multiple shows from the same people. Then next time you have a performance, send the flyer out to the people you've met and ask if they can pull up for you. Don't be offended if they can't, mfs be busy sometimes.

Make friends with the other people in the crowds at these shows, too. They're typically there because they're in some way invested in one of the artists. Other times, they're just bar hoppers who think local s*** is cool. Either way, getting them somewhat invested in your art is a plus. They already pull up to this s***. Maybe they'll pull up to yours.

See if theres any blog pages on social media that share music from your specific area. Same process. Comment and like their stuff. Try to build a relationship. Send your next music video to them. Send your next show flyer to them, maybe they'll post your performance on their story or sum'n.

It鈥檚 a band or rap group or what?

Get a social media presence IG, Twitter, Tik Tok etc and get the homies supporting the movement hella hard. Pay attention to other local acts and see where they鈥檙e performing and start attending those shows and making connections with the people who are putting the shows on, such as basement shows, open mics, small venues etc. make good content, videos, projects etc and spread that s***. Whenever you do get a show kill that s***, and look into spreading your music further than your local community by emailing specific writers for publications, look at a review or article look at who wrote it and send your music to them. Just keep grinding out and trying these things and mostly important do NOT hesitate to knock a nigga out if he plays with you.

We in Atlanta. I really appreciate that advice for going to local shows. I鈥檓 heavy in the concert scene and know how easy it can be to meet other artists at these events but I never considered approaching it from a local artist show, it鈥檚 usually at big shows. I鈥檓 gonna consider this and everything else you advised, thank you so much

It鈥檚 a band and I can send you a link if you鈥檙e interested in listening.

I have all of our socials setup, youtube, streaming with quality music on it, etc. and support from homies but it鈥檚 now moving past that. Show attendance seems to be what you and the other person who responded agree is a good approach. We鈥檙e in contact with a musical director at a major university who started a hip hop program and wants to work with us as well as a collective of 8 other artists in our town.

There are only a couple open mics in ATL I could find so the creating content route is our best bet for now. We have hundreds of songs created with only a few released but the vault is stacked with quality.

I appreciate that advice to email publications directly for reviews and contact small venues to get involved. I will consider all of this, thank you very much. This is very important to me and my brothers
