Been getting back into it tried starting earlier in the year but fell off, i write more and more each day and on a streak lately
I've always wanted to keep one for the sake of the future, but I know if I missed one day the whole thing would fall off
What do you write
Usually what happened that day, how it made me feel, any thoughts i had, people i saw and met, places i went, etc.
Just write what I’m feeling. I ruminate a lot so I try to write out what I’m feeling in a concise way to reach a conclusion.
I think imma start this up soon. both for good and bad reasons. journaling as a man feels like a kinda gotcha card. you're not going to therapy, but doing the next best thing (maybe not literally the next best thing, point stands regardless). and so yes for both good and bad reasons, i want to have said card in my deck.
I also like the idea because it's like whenever I pass away, this s***, if kept up, will be my manifesto of sorts. like any questions about how I was thinking, my thoughts, POV, all of it, can be answered with it. assuming ppl will care to read it, which very well may not be the case, s*** might be boring lmaoooo

its mad useful so I encourage you to go for it
you have the freedom to go into even more gross detail than you ever would online. write out every sexual encounter in full 4K HD right after it happens that s*** is so wild to go back and read
recently re-read some of mine and god damn
I also had way more fun reading about day to day activities and sequence of events than the entries where im like "shit is bad heres why im sad"

wish I had one but I'm so f***ing lazy..
is it rated?
oh yeah
Writing it out is insanely difficult. I feel like nothing really happens to me most of the time. In fact, most days I feel happy and content, so there is little reason for me to journal other thna to have a keep-sake.
I have been keeping a journal for the past two months, however, and instead of writing I usually just draw s*** with crayons/markers. Makes me feel good.
I feel liberated when I write but I hate going through it days later
it's like getting up after a nasty s*** without flushing and thinking while looking at it ''damn last night f***ed me up''
I bought a journal to write down on nice and sunny days, but that s*** is collecting dust in some drawer.
I did this for a while and I’m not even bullshitting, it felt like I was getting way too deep in my own mind and soul and feelings - like my subconscious and s***. It was wild. I had to stop because I was afraid of turning over too many stones and being completely naked to myself. Maybe we need our safe little delusions sometimes
It’s weird cause rapping in itself is like a form of journaling. You’re just reflecting on your life and your experiences and maybe sometimes offering perspectives or takes based on those experiences and maybe certain feelings or attitudes you may have. You can even just talk about a book you read.
Fr tho, weird niggas are this p**** about writing stuff down as fans of a genre where that’s kinda considered a pivotal aspect of the creative process. I’d be surprised if niggas like 3 stacks or Pharrell didn’t keep journals lol
nah fr
I've been using an A5 Muji dot grid journal for 3 years now on some combined classic journaling and bullet journal practice to stay on top of my appointments, commitments, habits, tasks, goals, etc. and it's been nothing short of transformational
this year I decided I wanted some premade structure so I got an A5 Cousin from Hobonichi and only 5 days in I can tell this is the next step, it's like a refinement of my practice and will only allow me to further enable myself in achieving my goals
I got way more room to do stream of consciousness journaling everyday and that added structure is perfect. having that premade monthly and weekly spread is just
I could go on and on about the ways I'm using it but I'll keep it there. if you been debating doing some journaling this is the sign to do it!
