looks like it will be a slow but well done crime mystery. Sharp Objects set a high standard but I'll trust in HBO on this one. the cast is great too:

I checked out the first episode, i can already tell i'm gonna like it. I'm a sucker for the "murder mystery, who done it?" type of shows anyways. I look forward to checking out the rest of the season.

honestly week by week drops work better IMO for these detective/noir/whodunnits

gives you time to build up theories and get more invested then being able to watch one after another back to back

like True Detective season 1 wouldn't have been as fun if they released it all at once...you needed that week in between episodes to speculate and drive yourself crazy with theories...I suppose there's always the risk of the ending reveal to be disappointing after hyping yourself up but that same risk is true with binging IMO

that being said lets speculate regardless if Frank is indeed the real father to that baby I do not think he's the one who killed the mom...seems like a red herring to me...idk if Guy Pierce will turn out to be the killer either but definitely an odd bit of casting for him to just be some writer the main detective gets involved with and him and Mare didn't appear to still be sleeping together when the murder would have occurred so it's possible he went out for a drive after Mare left and came across her...another possibility (which also could be jumping the shark a bit) is that the mother of the previous missing girl killed this new girl but again that seems like a stretch too right now...just gotta keep watching!

But yeah, I don't think Frank is involved in the killing either. That was an obvious red herring that the show wants us to believe that maybe it could've been him, but it's not. My early theory is, I have my eye on those priests that they showed in episode 2 that could possibly be involved. One of those guys look fishy to me.

Very compelling show so far, we'll see how everything plays out.
