this album is one of the very few times where coldplay got everything right and made a great album.

from the amazing aesthetics,

to their best lead single (paradise)

to the sequencing, sound, and that amazing three track run of hurts like heaven, paradise, and Charlie Brown all adds up to an underrated, great album.

I like X&Y

probably Parachutes, a Rush of Blood, or Ghost Stories. i dig their acoustic stuff when they weren’t trying so hard lol

X&Y is cool too tho

but also i overplayed all their good stuff years ago so i don’t listen to em much these days

Also because you're right, this was before they started doing these "rock anthems" that basically paved the way for s*** like imagine dragons
