I think more experimentation in the melodies and bpms would elevate it even more
Cloud Drill is a cool example of this (Christoper Walking, War by Drake and War by Pop Smoke)

Evolve like crossover? Americans have to give the accents a chance. They’re kinda ignorant. “It all sounds the same”

the uk drill producers have started using more and more vocal samples, I think they could actually reach for some soulful melodies through that if they picked the right samples.

But idk how much it needs to evolve. Some genres are good simplistic and raw.

Post some songs I heard a drill song with a soulful sample before and it sounded real cluttered

i feel like Americans would be more likely to accept a UK female rapper tbh.

MIA is the only UK rapper to have proper major US hits like Paper Planes, Bad Girls and as a sample Swagga Like Us

Plus some people like Nicki do actually sound British on some songs tbh lol

Drake the goat for shining light on s***.

He lowkey united the African diaspora.

Hip Hop/RnB from the US, West Indies, Africa and the UK has never been closer to each other.

M24 - No Cap is a great beat to me,

I Spy, with Headie One, K-Trap, Krept and Konan was a pretty big drill hit with an obvious sample on it.

A recent track B1llionz by M1llionz was a pretty interesting beat to me. That was some indie girl sounding sample tho It was a bit cluttered but they just about pulled it off. I'd imagine it's hard to pull off a sample that full so shoutout to Bkay.

yeah but hurting me wasn't really big like MIA's late 00's run was it?

Still tho it kinda shows that those female artists might have more of a shot.

Cos it's not like Steff anywhere close to top 10 in quality.

Shame the UK female GOAT (along with mia) Ms Dynamite didn't crossover.
